Stay In Alignment
I’m saying JUMP BACK IN to your “bad-ass” self! Get back into alignment. Don’t wait three weeks until the guests are gone. Don’t wait until you’re bankrupt. Don’t wait until you’ve gained 5 pounds. Don’t wait!
Your Energy on Gratitude
When I take inventory of my good fortune, the talents and strengths I possess, my health, my kids, where I live, the opportunities I’ve been given, and even the lessons I’ve learned, I’m in a different realm of consciousness.A realm where I find happiness, joy, acceptance and peace.
Getting Past Yourself
And as you begin to practice, this quiet alone time allows you to clear the slate. And as the slate clears, things like creativity, connectedness, calmness and courage start to reappear. When we have slowed down enough, we start to realize what is really important in life.
Support in the Struggle
We don’t want to feel pain, suffering, anger, etc. So, as socialized humans we’ve learned to numb and avoid feelings. How that looks is different for everybody. It could be food, drug, sex, alcohol, video games, internet shopping - and/or any combination of those and more. We tune out.
The Quality of Your Community
Here’s the thing….if you surround yourself with competitive people, people that put you down, belittle others, compare, criticize, gossip-- you are not helping your psyche. You are staying in a low energy, vibrational state. Like attracts like.
Hangry In Houston
They say that traveling is “Food for the Soul.” I firmly believe that. What that quote doesn’t mention is that the food you find while traveling can be Soul-robbing.
Getting Back In the Kitchen
As an educated, single, female, bit of a “wild child”, twenty something, I latched on to the quote - “domesticity is death.” I don’t know who said it but it became my mantra. I had just finished graduate school and did not want to be relegated to the kitchen, ever.
Find Reverence in All That’s Around Me
I wanted to use this writing this week to announce that this will be the last Monday Mantra from me for a little while. I hope this last mantra for the time being can be of some help to you if you are dealing with something similar in your life.
Starting Over
I wanted to use this writing this week to announce that this will be the last Monday Mantra from me for a little while. I hope this last mantra for the time being can be of some help to you if you are dealing with something similar in your life.
Repairing Your Relationship With Food
My relationship with food has been complicated, to say the least. To back it all the way up to the beginning, I did not get off to a good start. My young mother was convinced by her doctor to bottle feed her babies.
Busy Isn’t As Cool As You Think
I wanted to use this writing this week to announce that this will be the last Monday Mantra from me for a little while. I hope this last mantra for the time being can be of some help to you if you are dealing with something similar in your life.
Seek Beauty in Your Transitions
When we can wake up to the present moment, wake up to our true essence, wake up to our highest selves— our minds become less dogged by their own roaming tendencies.
Practice Affirmations, Shift Your Mind
Affirmations are simple, positive statements of your goal(s) in its completed state. Although simple, these statements can have a profound effect on your conscious and unconscious mind. They are an integral part of shifting your mindset from the muddy waters of ambiguity and negativity to one of clarity and positivity.
Aim To Be 1% Better
“All big things come from small beginnings. The seed of every habit is a single, tiny decision. But as that decision is repeated, a habit sprouts and grows stronger. Roots entrench themselves and branches grow.”
Feel Connection, Give Support
We need to feel connected to others. Supported by others. And, we need to be able to reciprocate that feeling. This is especially important in new habit formation and bad habit dissolution. The ever-present cycle of starting over, and over
Take a Breath, Forget Busy
This past year has provided most of us some breathing room to assess what really matters. I’ve felt what it’s like to slow down and get still and reestablish a long lost connection with my intuition, and my connection with God.
Embrace Readiness for Change
Here’s the funny thing about change - as much as you know you need it, say you want it, know it will be good for you, if you’re not ready for it, it ain’t gonna happen.
Notice the Energy You Bring
Open, free energy is energy that elevates not only you, but those around you. When people feel your openness, and they will, it allows their inner light to shine. They, too, will feel more energetic and open in your presence. The opposite is also true.
Connect to Your Roots of Passion and Purpose
Discovering why you are here and what you can do to bring meaning to your life and the lives of others helps you to stay stimulated, engaged, happier and more connected.

I want YOU to become part of this special group, no matter where you are in your health/wellness journey.
